Course aims
Teach German pronunciation rules and transcription of speech sounds for practical use in learning and performing songs in German.
Learning outcomes
After attending the course, the student
- can recognize short and long vowels
- knows how to form the speech sounds in German and is able to form them
- knows the transcription symbols
- can use pronunciation dictionaries
- can apply the acquired knowledge to singing
