Course aims
The course aims to:
1) Provide students with an overview of main contemporary methods in theatre and performance research;
2) Discuss and practice introduced research methods in practical analysis of performances;
3) Develop the ability to handle various concepts and theoretical approaches as tools for practice-based research;
4) Develop critical reading skills of theoretical texts.
Learning outcomes
Students who have passed the course will be able to:
1) Orient in main methods and theoretical approaches relevant to their research;
2) Formulate appropriate theoretical questions related to their field;
3) Apply main theoretical methods in practical performance analysis;
4) Know and use relevant theoretical concepts in their research.
