Course aims

The course aims to provide a clear understanding of self-curatorship, environment of culture, project management and production in the performing arts field. It aims in co creating with students a general overview of the aspects of the performing artist profession related to developing and sustaining own artistship in the broadly understood cultural field, creative industry and society at large. Through application of this views in project planning and production the subject helps students to develop their capacity not only as artists but also as managers and producers.
The course aims to:
1) Equip students in knowledge, skills and mindset that will enable them to clearly define their professional vision, idea and ways of its implementation;
2) Introduce students to concepts and mechanisms working in the broadly understood field of cultural production;
3) Lead students to compiling a project plan, argue the choice of methods and tools and critically analyse other project ideas;
4) Offer opportunities to implement their production ideas.


Learning outcomes

Students who have passed the course will be able to:
1) clearly define their professional vision, idea and ways of its implementation.
2) in written form clearly position themselves and their practice in the broadly understood cultural field.
3) put together and argue the choice of tools and methodology for their project implementation plan.
4) apply the elements of production to their final projects.
