Course aims
The course aims to:

2) introduce students to notions and strategies of creation for the purpose of (solo) performance;
3) offer skills in research and analysis of themes as a foundation for creative work;
4) help the students to build links between the chosen theme and contemporary art scene as well as the surrounding socio-cultural contexts which surround them.
Learning outcomes
Students who have passed the course will be able to:
1) evaluate and research sources available for creating a solo performance (e.g. visual, textual, sonic, audio) and experiment with diverse creative strategies;
2) devise a scenic language that, whilst focussing on body-based performance, remains in dialogue with multiple registers of performance (movement, voice, props, costumes, audio-visual, etc.);
3) run an artistic project from the initial idea, throughout a rehearsal process, into a public event;
4) appraise their work and its impact on the audience and locate it within the contemporary field of performance.
