Course aims
This course is designed to guide students through the process of writing a screenplay, from the initial idea to the final draft. Students will learn the techniques of storytelling, character development, and dialogue writing, as well as the structure and formatting of screenplays.
Learning outcomes
- Develop an understanding of the critical elements of screenplay writing, including narrative structure and character development.
- Write scenes that demonstrate effective use of dialogue, conflict, and pacing.
- Create a complete screenplay outline and develop it into a draft.
- Critically evaluate and revise screenplay drafts based on feedback.
