Course aims
This module offers CPPM students the opportunity to engage in teaching practices within higher education, specifically targeting performing arts students at bachelor's and/or master's levels. Each student will tailor their teaching experience according to their
individual interests, aligning with the requirements of a designated institution and group of students. Emphasis is placed on the creation of a comprehensive course syllabus, the establishment of clear course objectives, the definition of learning outcomes, the
selection of appropriate teaching and assessment methods, and the formulation of effective feedback strategies.
Learning outcomes
Students who have completed the course are able to:
● Demonstrate a thorough understanding of pedagogical strategies relevant to teaching in higher education, with a particular focus on the performing arts.
● Design and communicate clear and measurable course aims and learning outcomes tailored to performing arts students’ needs and levels.
● Develop and apply effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles, fostering student engagement and participation.
● Construct and refine course syllabi that comprehensively outline content, objectives, assessments, and evaluation criteria, adhering to institutional standards and best practices.
