Course aims
This course provides an in-depth understanding of sponsorship and fundraising strategies tailored specifically for the creative industries. The course focuses on developing the skills needed to secure funding and establish sustainable relationships with sponsors, donors, and other stakeholders within the arts and cultural sector. Students will learn about different fundraising models, sponsorship proposals, partnership development, and the ethical considerations of fundraising for creative projects.

1. Identify and evaluate potential sponsorship, partnership and fundraising opportunities for creative projects, considering sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
2. Develop compelling sponsorship proposals, including the ability to articulate the value of partnerships for sponsors and donors.
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the fundraising process, from prospect research to the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of sponsors and donors.
4. Apply effective negotiation and communication strategies to engage with sponsors and secure funding for creative endeavours.
5. Assess the ethical considerations associated with fundraising, sponsorship agreements, and the impact on artistic integrity and cultural value.
