Course aims
The aim of the course is to learn to identify the main repertoire of mainstream jazz and major jazz standards.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the subject, students will have collected a portfolio of the repertoire learned during the semester in the form of lead sheets and recordings. They will be able to play themes and chord progressions (on piano or on guitar) of all compositions learned, improvise based on these forms and to also outline a lead sheet from memory.
