Course aims
In the course of practical music-making, the student acquires the basic skills of interpreting jazz music, learns the repertoire and develops improvisation skills.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the subject, the students will have gained experience in playing in a big band, the representative collective in jazz music. They will also have acquired basic skills in articulation distinctive of jazz music and will be able to improvise based on predetermined chord progressions.
