Course aims
The aim of the subject is to develop the professional skills of a Lied pianist, accompanist and répétiteur, as well as to improve various practical skills needed for collaborating with soloists (singers, instrumentalists) and conductors.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the subject, the student will:
be able to work with musical and interpretational qualities in vocal chamber music and arias
understand connections between text and music in this genre and shape his/her musical interpretation accordingly
be familiar with practical approaches to work in the field of accompaniment
know how to prepare a work independently before rehearsals with a soloist
have experience in performing as a Lied pianist and accompanist
have experiences in collaboration and team work
have acquired some of the standard repertoire of vocal chamber music
be acquainted with the nature of an opera répétiteur’s work
