Course aims
The aim of the subject is to encourage activity in the genre of Lied duo; enable collaboration between students; expand students’ repertoire; develop the singers’ practical skills of collaborating with pianists; offer performance opportunities.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the subject, the student will:
be familiar with standard repertoire in the genre of vocal chamber music
understand connections between text and music in this genre and shape his/her musical interpretation accordingly
have experiences in collaboration and team work
be able to instruct a beginner accompanist in a rehearsal
