Course aims
The aim of the course is to introduce the student to the foundations, processes, and experiences of cultural management as a discipline, both academic and practice-based, and its relations with other fields
Learning outcomes
Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
1. Be aware of the current themes and developments related to the cultural management field and practice
2. Perceive the overlap and relevant discussions between cultural management and other disciplines;
3. Critically approach and contextualize when needed the practices of cultural managers (including oneself);
4. Display knowledge of the basics of cultural policy and regulations and follow the influence of political processes on the practices and structures related to cultural management;
5. Discuss and potentially contribute to the developments of creative economy (and other relevant economic constructs), local and global strategies
6. Be fluent in current research in cultural management, development of new concepts, and their implication on education and practice
