Course aims
The aim of the course is to develop comprehension of the role of music education in people's lives and in society at large as well as the role of music teachers as agents of music education and developers of personality. The course also provides knowledge about development of educational ideas and establishes foundations for comprehension of opportunities for design of the content for learning and learning processes considering development of learners.
Learning outcomes
The students:
- know the aims of music education and are able to plan his/her educational activities according to that;
- understand the role of music in people's lives and in society and comprehends the factors developing musical identity;
- know the basic musical abilities and characteristics of musical talents and are able to plan learning activities according to them;
- are aware of factors influencing professionalism of music teachers and the role of music teachers in educational culture.
