Course aims
The course is aimed at introducing the student to harmonizing melodies on the piano, learning chord symbols and applying them in practise, develop the ability to play in different styles, and be aware of different types of piano arrangements.
Learning outcomes
The student:
- Creates piano accompaniment based on chord symbols.
- Performs the given piece expressively and according to its style.
- Can smoothly connect progressions of different chords.
- Utilizes methods to enrich harmony.
- Applies various rhythmic components in the accompaniment texture.
