Course aims
The aim of this subject is to teach all today-used methods of sound synthesis, the associated acoustical base knowledges, and understand the physics and mathematics behind them on a basic level.
Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the oscillation and wave theory in physics;
- demonstrate understanding of how the oscillation and wave theory relates to musical phenomena,
- demonstrate knowledge of different methods of sound synthesis and describe them with figures or mathematical formulas.
