Course aims
The aim of the course is to get acquainted with the basics of composing music and to develop creative thinking of the student, introduce the basics of ordinary and electro-acoustical composition.
In one semester, there are 30-40 lessons (academic hours) with the possibility to make part of them in small groups.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course the student will:
- be able to express his/her musical ideas idiomatically, compose musical scores in a practical and understandable way,
- know the specifics of the basic orchestral instruments.
- express his/her simple musical ideas in electro-acoustical means.
AV: At the competition of the Studying Period, students:
- will be able to adequately express their musical/sound and visual ideas and to creatively map the two domains;
- knowing several mapping strategy approaches (consciousness and ability to map sound/music parameters to visual ones (and vice-versa) during the creative process);
- to spend their knowledge in several creative contexts that requires compositional and technical skills.
