Course aims
The objective of this subject is to give the students knowledge, skills, and attainments to explore and develop their voice, to study the psychophysical obstacles which occur during speaking and to overcome them using pertinent training, to develop their diction and characteristics of their voice, as well as to give to the students ability to elaborate acquired knowledge and put it into practice without further assistance.
Learning outcomes
After completing the subject, a student:
- Understands the technical options for using the voice in speaking;
- Is aware of the patterns in his/her speech and body movements and is able to correct them;
- Is able to speak in an articulated manner, using the respective psychophysical tools with skill;
- Is able to assess the acoustic properties of a room and to project his/her voice and adjust loudness accordingly;
- Is able to use the new knowledge in other subjects and work on independent vocal training;
- Is able to communicate with partner(s) in a performance situation without losing the support of technical skills;
- Has developed an individual exercise program and uses it to prepare various performances related to the speciality;
- Is able to conceptualise his/her activities and to communicate his/her experiences.
