Course aims
The course aims at developing the student's skills of playing in symphony orchestra setting, preparing them as prospective professional orchestral players.
Work is divided for saxophone between participation in saxophone quartet and woodwind ensembles/orchestras, for euphonium between participation in brass ensemble and woodwind ensembles/orchestras.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course the student will:
- Have improved orchestral musicianship.
- Be able to perform with improved technic.al accuracy the standard orchestral repertoire.
- Be able to react to the conductor and section leader.
- Have a deeper understanding of different eras of orchestral music.
