Course aims
The subject aims to provide students with knowledge on the works and composition techniques of some of the most outstanding Estonian contemporary composers (Pärt, Tüür, Tulve, Tulev, Kõrvits). In addition, several analytical tools developed to analyze the music of the composers are introduced.
Learning outcomes
Student passing a course is familiar with the main stylistic trends in Estonian contemporary music and can analyze some aspects of works of Estonian contemporary composers.
