Course aims
To further develop and diversify the pedagogical knowledge acquired during the bachelor´s curriculum and prepare students for independent pedagogical work. It is recommended to focus on working with students at intermediate level.
Thorough work on the issues related to the refinement of the learned repertoire. Becoming acquainted with the specific characteristics of learning as an amateur, in an ensemble setting, and as an adult. Students are required to keep an e-journal (except those in the Jazz Music programme).
Learning outcomes
Student can:
- work independently as music school teachers
- recognise pedagogical problems and find suitable methods for solving them
- plan lessons, taking into account the learned material, the student´s individual development and previously set goals by choosing suitable methods and repertoire
- pass on their specialist knowledge and skills in a competent manner using contemporary teaching methods
- motivate students and prepare them for stage performances
- analyse their own activity and that of the students by integrating the acquired knowledge in pedagogy and psychology
