Curriculum objectives
- To provide students who already have a musical background prior to the Academy, with an education on a high international standard and responding to the requirements of contemporary musical life, in the respective fields of composition, audiovisual and electroacoustic/computer composition, and sound technology. Completing the program is a pre-requisite for entering master's degree studies.

Learning outcomes of the curriculum
Upon completing the curriculum, the student will be able to:
1. Compose music without assistance and realize creative ideas on a professional level.
2. Refer to appropriate compositional techniques and methods necessary for completion of creative projects.
3. Display awareness of Western music history and music theory, and various issues and aesthetical ideas of contemporary music.
4. Display knowledge of the wider field of humanities and arts.
5. Apply basic pedagogical skills.
6. Integrate the learnt topics, issues and musical material into one's own musical projects in various ways.
7. Communicate and participate, both written and colloquial, in his/her own language of instruction, and at least one more language, in musical discussions and on various musical topics.
8. Successfully participate in team work and various initiatives that contribute to society and community in a wider and responsible way; able to use relevant digital technologies.

Curriculum options
The student will complete module A in entirety, 50 ECTS credits. From among modules B, the student will complete courses amounting to 60-75 ECTS credits in total. From among modules C, the student will complete courses amounting to 45-60 ECTS credits in total. Completing module D is mandatory.
Graduation requirements (thesis, exams)
The study programme will be completed by obtaining the 170 ECTS credits (major 50 credits, courses related to major 60-75 credits, courses related to music theory, music history, pedagogy and humanities in general 45-60 credits) and Bachelor's exam 10 ECTS credits.

Objective of the module: The aim of the module is to develop creativity and technical skills of composing music of various types, genres and styles, using both classical and contemporary methods and techniques.
Upon completion of the module the student will be able to:
1. Compose music on a basic professional level of accomplishment.
2. Pay attention to the rules of forming a correct musical score.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of instrumentation and orchestration.
4. Apply appropriate skills and techniques for solving various issues related to composition, or electronic music respectively.
5. Verbalize and analyze the issues related to composition and sound technology in the language of instruction and at least one more language.
6. Discuss in detail the trends of development, current issues and innovations in the field of one's main instrument, resp. voice.
7. Analyze one's own activity in the field of specialization, and its role in society.

Objective of the module: The aim of the module is to introduce the student to the main concepts, means and tools of 20th-21st century music and audio-visual arts.
Upon completion of the module the student will be able to:

Objective of the module: The aim of the module is to develop various musical skills of the student, such as creative thinking in general, musical hearing ability, piano proficiency, improvisation, and others.
Upon completion of the module the student will be able to:
1. Listen to, analyze and reproduce various musical structures without the score, both in oral and written form, ranging from tonal to post-tonal music.
2. Express/articulate creative ideas appropriately and correctly either in musical scores or by electronic means.
3. Display knowledge of orchestral styles and score types throughout centuries, describe individual instruments and their use of current symphony orchestra.
4. Analyze modern music scores, apply different textural and notational techniques and orchestrate music for various orchestral settings.
5. Perform easier repertory on piano without score with appropriate technical skills and artistic expression.
Upon completion of the module the student will be able to:

Objective of the module: The aim of the module is to develop the student's analytical skills, to provide an advanced overview of music culture and its main categories, to expand the student's horizons and understanding of various topics related to the field of humanities, to introduce the student to the history of the didactics of their specialty field, as well as contemporary methods of teaching.
Upon completion of the module, the student will be able to:
1. identify different musical styles and analyse musical works in terms of harmony, counterpoints and form;
2. demonstrate knowledge of the main trends, genres, composition techniques and aesthetic principles in music history in relation to other fields of cultural history;
3. work independently with literature, reference books and music scores; have acquired the skills to use digital technologies related to music;
4. demonstrate knowledge of the main concepts of the psychology of music and understand the issues of his or her specialty in the development process;
5. demonstrate knowledge of the theoretical schools, trends of development and actual issues of didactics in his or her specialty;
6. apply appropriate teaching methods for developing the skills of students.

[BD05] Bachelor's exam (for majors in Composition/Electronic Music)
Objective of the module: The aim of the module is to prepare the student for independent professional work in the field of music composition, and develop independent judgment capacity, critical thinking skills and wide cultural horizon.
Upon completion of the module the student will be able to:
1. Express creative ideas in a musically convincing and technically correct way.
2. Choose from among various technical possibilities the most appropriate solution for a given musical situation.
3. Demonstrate good knowledge of Western orchestral instruments.
4. Describe his/her own compositions in the wider context of contemporary music.
