The study programme is included in the study programme group of Business and Administration and the studies may be conducted according to Government of the Republic Regulation No. 62 of 11.07.2019 "Standard of Higher Education", appendix 3. The consortium agreement of the joint study programme in Cultural Management has been signed by Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and Estonian Business School in 01.12.2011.

Curriculum objectives
The objective of the Cultural Management Master`s Programme is to educate
professional and visionary managers capable and skillful in creative leadership of arts organizations; entrepreneurs constructing and contributing to Estonian cultural industries in an international context; administrators as well as decision-makers in the field of cultural policy, capable of working with creative industries strategies in particular, considerate and comprehensive of processes and practices of different cultural fields.
Learning outcomes of the curriculum
Upon completing the curriculum, the student will be able to:
1. Demonstrate broad and systematic knowledge of cultural management, its main concepts, issues and research methods
2. Display understanding of the current trends and issues of cultural management, cultural politics and creative economy
3. Perceive interdisciplinary relations
4. Recognize and verbalize, in a creative way, the problems and issues of cultural management, as well as solve them with appropriate methods by applying a broader background of social sciences and humanities
5. Discuss creative leadership and arts organizations, apply new theoretical knowledge in practical work and exhibit self analysis in a wider context
6. Take on the responsibilities of a local/national cultural leader, manager or official, cultural entrepreneur or research worker, applying appropriate leadership and teamwork skills
7. Transmit knowledge, professionalism and competence as teacher or instructor, display good command of performance skills; argue both verbally and in written form the various issues and underlying theories of cultural management
8. Effectively participate in team work, both at work and in everyday life, display social responsibility and exhibit tolerance for different attitudes and values
9. Take proper decisions in ethically complicated situations, demonstrate awareness of the moral and ethical aspects, as well as the possibilities, limitations and wider consequences of one's professional activity, discuss and argue topics and issues related to cultural life, creative industries and cultural management
10. Evaluate critically the knowledge and skills obtained, continue further with professional studies or participate in research, both in Estonia and abroad

Curriculum options
Modules do not consist of separate courses but they form a course itself.
Modules 1-7 provide 12 EAP each and are obligatory.
Module 8 provides 2 EAP and is obligatory.
Open seminars is the module for selective courses to be selected from the selection offered by the Program or substituted with selectives and it provides 4 EAP. In addition, students can choose free electives agreed in advance with the programme.

[MAK11] Entrepreneurial and innovative development in Cultural Management (for major in Cultural Management)

Objective of the module: The general aim of the module is to educate the students to understand the models, theories and practices that form a basis of entrepreneurial thinking and acting. The aim is not to educate only entrepreneurs, but instead to make sure, that the cultural managers studying in this program can explore and apply this way of thinking in their careers whatever their legal (employment) status will be. Upon completing the module, the student will be able to:

1. Discuss the basic theories behind the fields of creative economy, industry, entrepreneurial mindset, practice and learning
2. Be aware of a number of models and tools applied in relation to these fields
3. Use these theories and models in a scientific as well as practical approach towards empirical studies and real life challenges, for example in conceptualizing the societal, creative and arts entrepreneurship;
4. Approach the concept of entrepreneurial mindset critically and holistically as in not separately from work/life
5. Apply entrepreneurial mindset to innovate individual practice as cultural manager as well as creating opportunities for others in an organization or structure

Objective of the module: The economy and market module builds understanding on the context of art organizations/actors seeing the art field as markets highlighting economic perspectives. Questions on marketing, finance and accounting, fundraising and customers/audience are reflected upon.

Upon completing the module, the student will be able to:
1. Demonstrate basic knowledge of economic and marketing issues;
2. Discuss thoroughly the intersection of creative industries with the rest of economy;
3. Understanding the specifics of culture in finance and marketing related issues;
4. Apply in practice the theoretical base of economy and marketing, taking into account the specific requirements of creative sector;
5. Perceive, analyze and find solutions for various finance and marketing related problems that emerge in cultural management practice;

Objective of the module: The module on leadership and communication focuses on the question encountered in leading and managing both in the context of organizations as well as projects. Both internal (within organizations) as well as outside (with stakeholders) communication perspectives are dealt with.

[MAK15] Creation and Creativity. Creative Practice (for major in Cultural Management)

Objective of the module: This module allows students to gain knowledge and practical experience related to work within CCI domestically and abroad as well as inside the institution and on the freelance base. It enables students to understand the specificities of the field and practice of cultural management and strengthen their international networking proficiency highlighting the importance of work in multidisciplinary context.

Upon completing the module, the student will be able to:
1. Gaine specific knowledge and experience of working with creative people (musicians, visual artist, dancers, etc)
2. Demonstrate the knowledge of basic concepts of managing and leading creativity in creative industries
3. Explore, create and applie creative thinking process and tools in providing solutions.
4. Connect one's own disciplinary expertise to a wider multi-disciplinary team, network, research group, etc. through participation in inside or outside the institution project, conference, work practice etc.
5. Understand the activities of different cultural organizations, has been acquainted to environment, structures, objectives and problems of cultural organizations in Estonia and abroad.

Objective of the module: The module takes a new perspective to cultural management focusing the societal challenges, reflecting on questions such as what is the role of art in solving societys grand challenges, using art in e.g. well being, city development etc. The focus is on building understanding and capability to manage interactions in between art and society understanding the current societal and ethical issues and concerns within.

Upon completing the module, the student will be able to:
1. Understand on the specificities relating to the art's societal impact and is able to discuss Social, economical, environmental impacts of arts and arts management in detail.
2. Understand the basic concepts of ethics as a moral philosophy, human rights with focus on the right to access to culture, and describe how human rights are reflected in the cultural managers and artists work.

[MAK17] Challenge Solving Report (for major in Cultural Management)

Objective of the module: The aim of the module is to capture the learnings on challenge solving process in a formalized manner. To engage student to reflect and analyze their learning journey and the challenge solving process and outcome in a holistic manner. Summarizing the knowledge gained during the semesters in a double diamond design framework format. The report builds on set of assignments and input from intensive learning sessions, online courses and individual work as well as discussions and input from mentor meetings.

Upon completion of the module the student will be able to:
1. Understand the process of solving cultural management challenges and connect cultural management content to the process of solving the challenge
2. Use double diamond model to work and plan the process for challenge solving
